Lokman Hekim Health Foundation, which enables 50 new students to receive medical education and become doctors every year, provided this year's scholarship income with donors who bought tickets to Candan Erçetin's concert. There was great interest in this special night held at Zorlu PSM.
FASCINATING PERFORMANCE
Erçetin, Turkey's powerful performer, supported education with her most popular songs. In addition to famous names from the media, business and social life, doctors who had previously completed their education by receiving this scholarship attended the night. Candan Erçetin stayed on stage for 2 hours and provided an unforgettable concert evening for donors who wanted to support the doctors of the future.
700 000 PATIENTS WERE CARED FOR FREE
Gül Akman, who hosted the night, said, "Tonight, thousands of loving, magical hearts are beating side by side, shoulder to shoulder in this hall. All we need is good will and a little courage," and invited the Founding President of Lokman Hekim Health Foundation, Mr. Doctor Ayhan Tokgöz, to the stage, who showed that courage 31 years ago. Tokgöz, who took the stage with applause, said: "Dear guests, my dear friends, welcome. Our story started 31 years ago in a small town. They needed health services so much at Gebze State Hospital, where I was appointed as the chief physician, that we could not remain indifferent. We set out with 3 of my friends. We served approximately 700 000 patients, 236 000 of which were free of charge. The first non-governmental society in our country to build a hospital in a slum." "Our foundation, which has been investing in human health for many years, is now working for the future of health, for the doctors of the future. I would like to thank all our solution partners who help raise bright-faced doctors."
ÇİÇEK, ONE OF THE DOCTORS OF THE FUTURE
After their speeches, Ayhan Tokgöz, Canan Çelebi, Mehmet Yalçınkaya and General Manager Leyla Şeker took the stage and received their flowers from Cihan Taş (Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine), Naz Dursun (Marmara University Faculty of Medicine) and Gökhan Altan (Istanbul Faculty of Medicine), who are currently studying medicine thanks to Lokman Hekim Health Foundation scholarships, from Ecem Kiracı (Istanbul Medical Faculty). At the finale of the night, the scholarship holders took the stage and received their flowers from Candan. He gave flowers to Erçetin and they sang the song "My Homeland" together. All proceeds of the concert will be donated to the Lokman Hekim Health Foundation, which has provided free healthcare services to thousands of patients since 1986 and provides scholarships to hundreds of students who are still continuing their education in economic deprivation, so that they can study at medical faculties, and therefore to the physicians of the future.
